Sunday: "On the Third Day of Christmas..."
...It stopped snowing.
And we went sledding again...
Down they come!
Then we warmed up and went to Hanny's house for our third day of Christmas. This time it was my Grandparent's and all of their descendants, (with the exception of one son living in Asia).
Grossvati, Tanja, Olivia
Getting these 5 to all look in the same direction at the
same time with a smile was challenging...
Nathanael, Simona, Katrina, Debora, Rebekka
Daniel and Hanny serving the home made pasta and yummy sauces
There was tomato sauce, curry chicken
sauce, vodka cream sauce and pesto
On our walk we saw the most amazing icicles...this picture doesn't
do them justice. There was a whole cliff full of them!
The sky was BLUE
Marie-Louise, Katrina and I
The trees were black and the snow so white
It was like walking through a fairy tale.
...And then Dessert!
More cookies!
Johan showing Mommy how to use a camera. :) Is he cute, or what?
We skyped with Mommy's "missing" brother Lukas. That was fun.
The tree with real candles
We ended our evening eating cuties and playing Rummikub
Saturday: "On the Second Day of Christmas..."
We celebrated Christmas for three days (the 24th, 25th and 26th) with various combinations of family members. :)
The first evening was at Paul & Maegi's with lots of children and "in-laws" and "by marriages". It snowed all day, too!
The second day was spent sledding, making cookie platters and recovering from the night before. :) Again, it snowed all day. That dinner was a little a lot quieter with just Hanny & family at Grossmuetti & Grossvati's. We ate a cheese fondue and then Daddy had a devotional. We sang songs, opened presents, and had dessert.

Which cookies on which plates?
Grossmuetti made 6 kinds with me, 3 with my cousin, 3 on her own and
we aren't sure where the other 4 kinds of cookies came from. :)
One of our cookie plates...Mmmm
It was a white, white Christmas. I haven't got any pictures
from sledding, because...I was...sledding. :)
Hanny and Michael stirring the fondue
Maurice taking his customary social nap :) on the Masonry stove
Our jolly group
The tree...and presents.
Katrina took this picture of her aunt Hanny. They played
hide and seek before dinner. She sure scored some points there! :)

Danke Grossmuetti!
Sisters...don't they look alike?
Sorry Olivia...none of the pictures with you in them turned out good
