Salzburg

Our hosts near Salzburg, David and Maria

Mozart's House

One of the many (seven?) churches we saw in one day in Salzburg

Another one...perhaps the Franciscan church...

The big one in Salzburg

The convent church where Sound of Music Maria would have worshiped.

Our view was wet and cold...

 Meghan, Courtney, Seppi, Andre, Daddy,
Fred, Mommy, Lydia, Annina, Tabea

Tomahawk throwing!
This is not typical Swiss, but they wanted to test how
much Indian blood we Americans really do have. :)

Katrina is our avid photographer and videographer...

On a walk.

Highlights from...

...Luzern, you guessed it!

The jail on the Kappellbrücke

Swans

Hofkirche

Zürich

We saw one amazing church after another...

 Zwingli's Grossmünster

The amazing door that tells the gospel story

We can hardly believe Courtney and Meghan are really here!

The Fraumünster

The biggest clock face in Europe (or the world?)
--it's 28.5 feet in diameter--on St. Peter's church

Sylvester!

 We played games....

This one involved sitting on each others laps...sometimes 4 or 5 deep!

You doing okay down there, Yaira?!

Debora, Rebekka, Sulaman, Deah, Daddy, Melanie

I don't have a picture of it (I was very hungry), but Sulaman cooked an amazing Pakistani dinner for us all. It was perfectly spicy...it didn't make my nose run but my mouth was burning. That's just right for me. :) Daddy likes it when his nose runs...

There was mop hockey

And card games...

Chocolate curling was a hit too...
We're gonna try this in our hallway at home with chocolate coins.
Mmmm...

Happy New Year!

New Year's Adam

What, you've never heard of New Year's Adam? Don't feel bad, neither had I until a friend explained it to me this week. We all know that Adam came before Eve...so the day before New Year's Eve would be New Year's Adam, right?

Our good friends the Szabos invited us over for dinner on New Year's Adam. *wink*

Adina did an amazing job decorating the table and cooking the food.
And Ilona & Tibor were the good conversational hosts. :)

A meal that will live in our memories...

Visits!

We've had so many sweet visits already in just a few weeks.

One of our first was with Mommy's sister Hanny. They have a really neat modern home. This is the view from all their windows: The Pilatus

Kathrin was our first visitor in the Stoeckli.

We got a visit from Ilona, too!
Nearly 3 years is too long to not see one of your best friends.
